Arokodare scores on Ajax debut
Arokodare marked his Ajax debut with an impressive performance as the Nigerian striker made an immediate impact for the Dutch club.
New Ajax striker Tolu Arokodare made a perfect start to life at the club by scoring on his debut for the Dutch giants in their 3-1 pre-season victory over FC Volendam at the Kras Stadion in Volendam on Sunday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Arokodare, who came on as a 71st-minute substitute for Marcos Leonardo, rounded off the scoring after pouncing on a miscued clearance inside the FC Volendam box.
Leonardo had earlier scored to put Ajax in control after Anton Gaaei opened the scoring.
